Important Rules for Drawing and Illustrating

There are clearly defined rules for drawing and illustrating stories. These are the rules followed by all the great illustrators that help them create the magic that enters so many lives.

Depth, perspective, emotion, movement and more...

Garfield, the Smurfs, Walt Disney, the Simpsons, South Park all have a basis in cartoon images created by great artists who knew what they were doing.

Here on the Little Human Being BLOG you find someone who knows nothing of these great techniques and talents. Rather, I rely on the power of cuteness and a smile, and as can be seen by the last shot in the sequence above - you can never underestimate the power of a new perspective.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I humbly present: THE LITTLE DANCER

The Little Dancer is a character in one of my short stories - a story in which I hope to uncover, unlock one of life's many little secrets and share it with the world.

Anybody know of an agent or publisher that wants to change the world?  :)

  2. your new character is just too cute. And often the best way to do something very good is to not know what the rules are. Honestly, there are quite a couple of rules I wish I wasn't aware of in my life...

  3. I think that is the freedom we all love and admire in children.

  5. I do...

Whenever inspired I sit down and try to find new characters or place them in new surrounds. If you check earlier posts you will see how my drawings and style have evolved - I only started illustrating/drawing and actively blogging in Feb 2011,

I enjoy looking back and watching as my own personal style develops.

    Thanks for the compliment
